St. Clement’s School remains a mid-town school with all of its grades sharing the same space in a neighbourhood setting. Conveniently located at 21 St. Clement’s Avenue – five blocks north off Eglinton Avenue on Yonge Street – the School is accessible by TTC subway and buses. There are numerous parking lots nearby for those who drive to school.
In 2006 we underwent an expansion that doubled the physical size of the school. The project included an upgrade to the original school and an addition that features a performance and lecture hall, a dance and drama studio, a second gymnasium, new classrooms, a new arts wing, a new science and technology wing, and a new library. Our new facilities are part of our quest to be able to deliver our program.
Powell Hall, our multipurpose performance and lecture hall was designed by Peter Smith, architect of such formidable
spaces as The Princess of Wales Theatre and the Harbourfront Centre Theatre.
Athletics are an important part of life at SCS. We have a long-standing tradition of achievement in a variety of sports and, with our new facilities, we have the space to accommodate and expand our extensive athletics program. With two full-size gymnasiums, a fitness room, and updated locker room facilities, we are also delighted to host athletic events throughout the year.
Our academic and co-curricular programs often extend beyond the borders of the SCS campus, taking advantage of facilities in the local community. |
