Learning is an individualized process – each student learns in their own unique way. Understanding how one learns is essential to developing self-awareness, self-efficacy, and self-advocacy. There is a direct correlation between well-being, the ability to learn, and achievement.
A person’s self-concept (comprised of self-worth, self-esteem, self-efficacy, confidence, identity, self-compassion) influences how that person thinks and feels. When a person has a healthy self-concept, they can build positive and productive relationships with others, contribute meaningfully to group dynamics, and act as an influential changemaker.
An individual’s state of wellbeing (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) significantly impacts happiness, quality of life, level of achievement, relationships, sense of purpose, and resilience. A holistic understanding of the self is intentionally nurtured and internalized for wellbeing.
