Wishing a Happy Passover to everyone in our SCS community celebrating. Chag Sameach!
We are ready to learn s'more from our Grade 1 students, who made solar ovens as part of a science experiment reently - with Grade 5s helping them record their results. During the two-hour experiment, students were excited to see the chocolate melt! 🍫 We can't wait to serve up more delicious experiments over here.
It's Earth Day! 🌎 To celebrate, we would love to shine a light on a group of our Grades 10 to 12 students who were recently at @globalideasto to talk about the global challenges in food waste reduction.

There, they participated in a poster presentation and interviewed an executive at @campbellcanada to learn more about the logistics of their production and sustainability practices.

Their solution to the food waste problem was to start an NGO that certifies companies with practices that minimize food waste and educate people on food waste prevention.

We are so proud of these students for their creative insights!
We’re concluding our National Volunteer Week shout-outs with gratitude for our Annual Fund Class Reps, who have been instrumental in helping us communicate with fellow parents to keep them informed about our Annual Fund goals, successes, and impact.

One of our 2023-2024 Annual Fund Priorities we have already been able to purchase (thanks to our volunteers, parents, and community) includes our VEX IQ Robotics kits!

Thank you to this group of volunteers for helping us in our efforts to reach our 2023-2024 Annual Fund goal. #EveryMomentMatters
