On Wednesday, September 12, an orderly tide of red blazers flowed across Duplex Avenue and more than a century of history to St. Clement’s Church.
Founded in the church’s Parish Hall in 1901, each year St. Clement’s School returns to its roots for a number of special occasions. The first of these is the Installation Service, held in early September to recognize and install the School’s student leaders for the coming school year.
Installation Services have long been a mainstay of the school calendar and bring together the SCS community of students, faculty, staff, and parents.
The Reverend Andrew Federle, Rector of St. Clement’s Church and a member of the SCS Board of Governors, welcomed everyone to the church before conducting a service in the Anglican Tradition. Readings were given by Head Girl Jenna Seguin and Student Council Presidents Carys Hillyer and Elise Wan, before Reverend Federle gave an inspirational homily and Principal Martha Perry presented the Installation and Commitments.
The assembled School leaders then led the congregation from the church before gathering in the courtyard and enjoying a reception for the parents, well prepared for the year ahead.
