Co-Curricular Activitiesat SCS.
Whatever your passion, you can explore it at SCS.
You might enjoy softball, singing, and science; or creative writing, coding, and cross country running. We offer a supportive environment where our girls are encouraged to try new things.
The Arts
Our robust Arts offerings provide students at every grade level with the opportunity for creative expression, enhanced problem-solving skills, and confidence building.
Our girls engage in the Arts through both the formal curriculum, and co-curricular activities and clubs. Whether they have a passion for the stage or for standing behind the camera, our girls can explore interests and participate in musical and drama productions, dance clubs and competitions, art shows, and musical and choral events.
Incredible Facilities
Powell Hall, our multipurpose performance and lecture hall, provides a versatile state-of-the-art theatre facility for both curricular and co-curricular learning. Students also use our dance studio and music room, complete with soundproof practice rooms, for their classes and rehearsals. Our visual arts studio and multimedia lab complement the exceptional arts facilities designed to meet the needs of our Arts students.
Athletic Opportunities
Our athletics program embraces a philosophy of encouraging participation, developing skills at all levels, and building healthy lifestyles.
At SCS, athletic opportunities abound on the court, track, field, ice rink, and in the pool for every student to explore. Our girls learn the important value of respect, responsibility, and self-discipline.
With over 39 teams across 12 sports, our competitive teams have a long-standing tradition of achievement in a variety of sports. We are deeply proud of both our commitment to participation and fun, and our girls’ achievements at CISAA league play, tournaments, and championships, and at OFSAA events.

GET STARTED NOWFun With Friends
Our girls enjoy a healthy social life, complete with school dances, banquets, trips, sporting competitions, debates, and other opportunities to interact with boys and girls from other schools.
Student leaders organize supervised dances for the Middle and Senior Schools, and students are regularly invited to attend functions hosted by other independent schools.
The House System
Our four Houses are a significant part of life here, and have been a favourite tradition since their introduction in 1960. Every student and staff member is part of one of four Houses – Stuart, Tudor, Windsor or York – and participates in inter-House competitions and activities. Displays of leadership, academic achievement, and participation in School activities are rewarded with House points. At the end of the year, the points are tallied and the House Cup is awarded!
The House System promotes interaction among our girls from different grades, and offers leadership opportunities while building school spirit.
School Spirit!
The extraordinary spirit of our School is shared by students, staff, parents and alumnae alike. A collective sense of pride is evident throughout the school day and beyond, especially in our inspiring assemblies, exciting House games, cheers and skits.
Spirit Week allows our girls to compete in friendly competitions and express House pride. The school-wide event features a fun line up of activities, events, and competitions, like lip syncing and locker decorating.
LINCWell

Beyond the Classroom
