Ana Fonseca
Junior School Teacher, Grade 6

Ana has been an educator for more than 18 years. She began her career at the Island Public School on the Toronto Islands, travelling by ferry daily and using the outdoors as her classroom as much as possible. She has taught every grade from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Now in her third year at St. Clement’s School, she loves the warm and welcoming school community. She is most proud of her students when they persevere, and show empathy and compassion towards others. She enjoys coaching Volleyball, Track and Field, Cross Country, and Softball.

When she is not teaching, she loves to read, ride her road bike, and cheer on the Blue Jays. She also devotes her time to Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children with cancer.

Ana holds a B.A. and a B.Ed. Concurrent Education from York University.
