From “Pilgrim” to pioneer

It’s no surprise that Sally Saunders ’53 went into a caregiving field; when she recalls her time at SCS, her service work at St. Christopher’s House is among her favourite memories. However, when she graduated from medical school – one of only 10 women in a class of 150 – and later started a family practice, she never imagined that she would go on to pioneer addiction care in Canada for elderly populations.
