Powell Hall hosts a Discussion on Philanthropy and St. Clement’s School

Last week, St. Clement’s School announced that the school charity for 2019-2020 is Hockey 4 Youth. Not only was the selection of this organization made by SCS students, but the fundraising efforts to support it over the coming months will likewise be enthusiastically led by students.

Philanthropy is an intrinsic part of life at St. Clement’s School and the selection of a school charity each year is but one example of that generosity. From their earliest ages, St. Clement’s students volunteer in the local community and beyond, and fundraise for a number of worthwhile causes.

For many SCS young women, that interest in philanthropy remains with them for the rest of their lives and on Thursday, November 28, 2019, St. Clement’s School will be hosting our inaugural Conversation on Women and Philanthropy. Held in Powell Hall and featuring a distinguished panel of experts including Jo-Anne Ryan (Vice President, Philanthropic Advisory Services, TD Wealth and Executive Director, Private Giving Foundation), the event promises to be an informative and engaging evening.

To RSVP for the event, held at SCS from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., please contact Michelle Kim at michelle.kim@scs.on.ca.
