#Sports Spotlight – Sam S. ’21 – Softball

Sam S. ’21 started playing catch with her dad in the backyard years ago, and for her it was a whole new ballgame: she fell in love with, and took up organized softball when she was 8 years old. In addition to playing on teams outside of school, Sam is now in her second season with SCS’s Softball Team. Sam was eager for SCS spring training to kick off and loves practicing with her teammates.

Her favourite thing about softball is the pace of play – she never knows what each inning will bring, and she loves that her brain is constantly thinking about strategy! While Sam pitches for SCS, she can play any position on the field. And when she’s not on the field herself, you can find her cheering on the Jays – especially Josh Donaldson, her favourite player.
