We’re only two weeks into the school year and, already, so much has happened. Here are the top five things that have kicked the school year off to a great start:
- Welcome Assembly
Michaela Hill ’18 delivered her first assembly address as Head Girl. She spoke about the value of community in her life, both at SCS and in life outside of school. - Gold Belt Assembly
A longstanding tradition, members of the graduating class are presented with a gold belt to be worn with their uniform, signifying their role as leaders within the school. - Welcome BBQ
The SCS Parents’ Association gave the entire school community a warm welcome at their annual BBQ. - Grades 9 & 10 leadership retreats
Based on the School’s Student Leadership Framework, our Grades 9 and 10 students participated in team building activities and learned about leadership theory to encourage and support Upper School students in inspiring school spirit and leading initiatives at SCS. - Terry Fox run
The entire school donned their running (and House spirit) gear to participate in the annual Terry Fox run in support of cancer research.
