In the middle of a grey week, our youngest Junior School students are brightening things up by participating in Winter Wednesday! What started as a creative way to introduce indoor activity during the cold winter months has grown into a program that involves faculty and staff throughout the school who want the opportunity to spend time with our youngest students and share a hobby or skill with them.
The program is also a way for SCS to expand our co-curricular offering in the Junior School during school hours. In past years, our girls have had the opportunity to try pysanky, dance, quilting, stop-motion, Sportball, and visual arts.
For today’s Winter Wednesday, our girls had an opportunity to try out:
- Basketball;
- Book Art;
- Coding;
- Knitting;
- Line Dancing;
- Photoshop; and
- Yoga.
The consensus from today’s participants? A pretty great way to spend a wintery day!
