I find that inspiration for my writing comes at different times and through a variety of channels, and this week was no different.  This week, the timing of the inspiration seemed perfect.

On Thursday evening, I was asked to speak at Upper Canada College to a number of teachers at the beginning of their careers as a part of their professional development program.

This weekend I find myself troubled and yet even more determined than usual to ensure that we continue to work hard to develop women who are confident and proactive. We must nurture women who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in,

Over the past two and a half years, in my role as Principal, I have heard some of the most honest and candid perspectives about our school, processes and experiences from our grade 12s. 

As Christians celebrate Easter this weekend and Jews celebrate Passover, we are reminded of the importance of rebirth and of hope for new beginnings.
