Leadership has been a prominent theme for the beginning of the school year. This week saw four different things-a presentation, an assembly, a poem and a funeral- contribute to confirming what I believe leadership should look like.
Whenever I think of a ‘new year,’ it does not start in January but in September. I suspect even down the road when I retire, I will always think of my new year as starting at this time of year.

This is a time to which the community looks forward.
It is with pride that we talk about our closely-knit community and the impact that it has had on us.
According to Dictionary.com, a community is a group sharing common characteristics or interests and perceived or perceiving itself as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which it exists.
A few weeks ago, we had our last Junior School-led assembly, run by the Grade 3s. For those blog readers who are not familiar with St. Clement’s, our full school assemblies are a huge part of who we are.
