That which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will,
To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.”

It is perhaps fitting that this past week has me thinking about the figurative ‘journey of life and adventure’ as I have been on a literal journey from St. Clement’s to Louisenlund School in Guby,
As I prepared for this evening, I thought a lot about the notion of a school closing, and the implicit message that things stop- or shut down- after this event.
It is not often that my blog themes are similar from one week to the next; however, in light of the past several days, I am drawn to write about a special relationship and a magical moment for our School this past week.
At. St. Clement’s we have been blessed with wonderful opportunities to connect and build relationships with First Nations peoples over the last eight years. As a result, our girls and staff are aware of and passionate about our role in supporting and ensuring change for the better.
Every week our National association of Independent Schools, the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS), sends out an excellent group of articles sorted into the twelve standards upon which our accreditations are based.
I am a big believer that things happen for a reason. Often I find myself tuning into a program just as it starts, or even in the midst, when a very pertinent topic or idea is being introduced and discussed.
